Ke$ha 'Gives So Many F---s' About Her New Album

<P>Last month, seemingly against the will of his employer, super producer Dr. Luke leaked a snippet of a song called <a href="/news/articles/1686772/kesha-supernatural-single.jhtml">"Supernatural,"</a> a walloping slab of electro-pop presumably set to be featured on <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a>'s long-in-the-works new album.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Ke$ha Says New Album Will Be ' Balls-Out, Irreverent Rock'" id="vid:652875" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"You leaked my song about me having sexy time with a ghost!" Ke$h subsequently tweeted at Luke." Now everyone knows I get it on with ghosts!"</P><P>Of course, we're assuming Ke$ha was just feigning outrage at the sneak peek, because in an interview in the new issue of <i>Rolling Stone,</i> she speaks in-depth about her upcoming album (tentatively due later this year), saying that it melds her Auto-Tuned, pop-heavy past with her current, <a href="/news/articles/1663946/kesha-new-album.jhtml">classic rock-indebted present</a>.</P><P>"I want it to be a mix of what works on the radio and what I listen to in my spare time," she said. "I'm on a steady diet of T. Rex and Iggy Pop."</P><P>Ke$ha and Luke also previewed a handful of tracks for the magazine (they have 17 songs in various forms of completion), including "Die Young," the aforementioned "Supernatural" and "Last Goodbye." Tentative guest stars include Flaming Lips' main man Wayne Coyne — who, back in May, <a href="/news/articles/1685827/kesha-flaming-lips-tattoo.jhtml">spoke to MTV News</a> about working with the singer — Pop and Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney. And unlike her previous <i>Animal</i> and <i>Cannibal</i> albums, Ke$ha said that, on her new record, she's not afraid to get deep.</P><P>"The first two records talked more about partying, which is a great, magical part of life. But some songs on the new record are more personal and vulnerable," she said. "And you can hear more of the music I listen to when I'm lying in my bed. I'm not claiming that it's a rock record, but as long as it's f---ing good, you can call it whatever you want."</P><P>And though Ke$ha's worked hard at cultivating her hard-partying persona, her new album is very much a labor of love ... not to mention a nod to the naysayers who dismissed her as nothing more than a flash in the pan.</P><P>"About 90 percent of the time, I don't give a f---. But I give so many f---s about this album," she said. "Some people weren't sure if I could sing. The Wanted Cause Boy Band Frenzy in Brazil
Making another stop around the globe, The Wanted were spotted seeing famous sites in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Thursday (September 27).
The wildly popular Irish boy band took time to pose by the Christ the Redeemer Monument. The statue it is considered the largest Art Deco statue in the world and the 5th largest statue of Jesus in the world.
On Wednesday (September 26), the group was spotted trying to make their way through Rio's International Airport.
It wasn't a surprise that they were greeted by a large mob of awaiting fans, waiting to see their favorite band mates in person.

Usher Stepson's Jet Ski Accident: More Details Emerge
Incident report released to MTV News identifies a family friend as the man who struck Kyle Glover with a Jet Ski.

<P>Details from the tragic Jet Ski accident that left <a href="/news/articles/1689206/ushers-stepson-declared-brain-dead-after-jet-ski-accident.jhtml">Kyle Glover</a>, stepson to R&B superstar <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/Usher/artist.jhtml">Usher Raymond</a>, brain dead continue to emerge. The incident report, obtained by MTV News from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, identified Jeffrey S. Hubbard as the vehicle's operator.</P><P>According to the report, Hubbard was operating the watercraft in Atlanta's Lake Lanier when he ran over two juveniles being towed on an inner tube by another boat at approximately 3:25 p.m. ET on Friday. Both of the injured children were flown to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. While the incident report didn't identify any of the injured by name, it has been reported that 11-year-old Kyle Glover sustained a head injury and had been declared brain dead by doctors, but officials have <a href="http://www.ajc.com/news/reports-ushers-former-stepson-1473926.html">declined</a> to speak on his condition, citing privacy issues. The second victim, a 15-year-old girl, is said to have suffered a cut on the head and a broken arm.</P><P>A media representative at Georgia's DNR told MTV News that Hubbard was no stranger to Glover and that he was a friend of the family. Glover's mother, Tameka Foster, <a href="http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2012/07/usher-stepson-kyle-glover-critical-condition-jet-ski-accident-tameka-foster">spoke</a> to RadarOnline, simply saying, "He's bad."</P><P>According to the site, the distraught mom also took to her Facebook page to send this message: "Kyle, You are strong.. You'll be saved I know it. I love you my baby. I need all #Prayers for my son! thanks you everybody!"</P><P>Foster and Usher were married in 2007, but <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1613894/usher-files-divorce.jhtml">divorced two years later</a> in 2009 and are currently going through a custody battle. They are both reportedly at the hospital.</P><P>This tragedy comes a month after <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1687847/usher-billboard-looking-4-myself.jhtml">Usher released his latest #1 album</a>, <i>Looking 4 Myself.</i></P>

Usher's Stepson Kile Glover Taken Off Life Support
11-year-old died Saturday from heart failure after he was pulled off of life support, according to Channel 2 Action News.

<P>Kile Glover, stepson of singer <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher Raymond</a> and biological child of ex-wife Tameka Foster Raymond, died Saturday morning (July 21), according to Channel 2 Action News.</P><P>Kile was taken off of life support Saturday morning and died from heart failure according to a family friend, weeks after the 11-year-old was involved in a tragic <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1689206/ushers-stepson-declared-brain-dead-after-jet-ski-accident.jhtml">Jet Ski accident</a>. Kile was declared brain dead two days after the July 6 accident, and the family struggled with the decision to remove him from life support hoping for a turn in his condition.</P><P>"We know God's in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time," the family told CNN in a statement weeks ago. "We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it's the best way we can all support him now."</P><P>Earlier yesterday Tameka tweeted a photo of Kile alongside his younger brother Cinco (Usher V).</P><P>Glover and a second victim, a 15-year-old girl, were struck by a Jet Ski while floating on an inner tube in Atlanta's Lake Lanier. Both children were airlifted to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston pediatric hospital. The girl is reported to have suffered from a cut on the head and a broken arm, while Glover took the brunt of the trauma to his head.</P><P>Atlanta's radio personality DJ Greg Street sent out a tweet earlier this morning where he expressed support for Tameka, Usher and Kile's dad Ryan Glover. "Lil RG is an Angel now, Ryan, Tameka, Usher & the whole Glover Family we gotta make him proud," he wrote.</P><P>The man driving the jet ski has been identified as 38-year-old Jeffrey S. Hubbard, a family friend. Glam rocker tackled the legendary 1970 Led Zeppelin song for 'American Idol' rock night.

<P>Imagine a freight train speeding toward you at midnight. Or a rockslide barreling down a hill as you try to outrace it. That's the feeling of the ominous, chugging Jimmy Page riff that kicks off <MTVNLINK type="url" id="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/led_zeppelin/artist.jhtml">Led Zeppelin</MTVNLINK>'s 1970 Stonehenge of rock, "Whole Lotta Love." And that's before singer Robert Plant leans into one of the nastiest, ecstatic rock screams this side of the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again."</P><P>That's the song Adam Lambert chose to sing on <a href="/news/articles/1610708/adam-allison-shine-on-idol-rock-night.jhtml">"American Idol" rock night</a> Tuesday (May 5), and, needless to say, it was a challenge that the eyeliner-loving Los Angeles stage veteran was more than up for, hitting a series of high notes and rock screams that would have made Plant proud. It was a risky maneuver that paid off for Lambert, who chose a tune that came in at #75 on <I>Rolling Stone</i> magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004.</P><P></p><div style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; float: left;"> <embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtvmusic.com:84215" width="256" height="223" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashVars="dist=http://www.mtvmusic.com" allowFullScreen="true" AllowScriptAccess="always"></embed></div><p></P><P>The legendary British rock act recorded the tribute to Chicago blues icon Willie Dixon during their second U.S. tour after working it out in their live show, including it on their 1969 classic album <I>Led Zeppelin II.</i> Like many of the songs Zeppelin performed early in their career, "Love" was a blues standard turned on its head with a heavy dose of crunching psychedelic guitar and thundering drums, courtesy of late drummer John Bonham. The song was based on a 1962 tune by another blues forefather, Muddy Waters, called "You Need Love," which was penned by Dixon.</P><P>For Zeppelin's version, Plant customized the lyrics by adding some lyrical quotes from a few other songs Dixon wrote for Howlin' Wolf, "Back Door Man" and "Shake For Me," nailing the tricky vocal in a single take. It was also inspired by 1966's "You Need Loving" from the British rock group the Small Faces, for whom Zeppelin had great affection, but they also did not credit Dixon for his part in writing the original lyrics. The song became Zeppelin's first U.S. single and their only U.S. top 10 hit. Though their manager would not let them release singles in the U.K. because he thought it cannibalized album sales, the song was finally released as the band's only British single in 1997.</P><P>Dixon sued Zeppelin over the song in 1985, claiming it borrowed too heavily from his "You Need Love," and Zeppelin reached an agreement with him, with Dixon using the money he received to set up a program that provided musical instruments for schools. <P>Of all the images that make up the video for <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>'s <a href="/news/articles/1690963/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-music-video-premiere.jhtml">"As Long As You Love Me,"</a> none are as memorable as the moment that Michael Madsen lands his first punch on the singer.</P><P>Madsen's overprotective-father character may have enjoyed leaving Bieber bloody for wanting to date his daughter, but in real life, the actor said he didn't take any pleasure in the one-two punch.</P><P>"I didn't exactly enjoy slapping him around," he told MTV News on Thursday, one day after the video premiered. "Had he been a prick, had he been a brat, you know, I might have had fun with that. But he was actually, he was the opposite."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Michael Madsen Has A Soft Spot For Justin Bieber" id="vid:822276" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>If fans are wondering if Bieber was nervous to take a beating for the <a href="/news/articles/1690932/justin-bieber-as-long-as-you-love-me-video.jhtml">Anthony Mandler-directed clip</a>, Madsen explained that Bieber was more concerned about having it look real than scared to take the hit.</P><P>"He was very respectful, very respectful and decent to me," he said. I think that I've been around enough to know I can tell if somebody isn't really doing their job or taking what they do seriously. And I could tell from early on in the morning that he was. He wanted it to be right. He wanted it to be specific and had a good car, a '68 Charger. That's a pretty bitching car, you know? I saw that damn thing parked in front of the house and I went 'Wow, I hope that's mine.' But they put me in a Rolls Royce; not too bad at all."</P><P>So, given that Bieber and Madsen trade physical barbs <i>and</i> verbal ones, does the actor think Bieber has a future in Hollywood? "He had good eye contact. He was focused. He didn't have a double. I think he should leave the acting up to me," he laughed. "He can sing though. See I can't do that. It goes both ways. He can sing his head off and he's damn good at it, and I couldn't get close to that.  played some new music for her fans from a car in a New York City parking lot on Sunday night.</P><P>In barely audible footage <a href="http://www.digitalspy.com/music/news/a394632/lady-gaga-plays-new-track-on-car-stereo-for-fans-in-new-york.html" target="_blank">posted</a> online, the dance track plays in the background — the majority of what is heard in the video is the club-banging beat. Gaga sits in the backseat of an SUV as fans call the track "amazing." The 38-second clip ends with the Mother Monster driving away from her fans.</P><P>Could it be the song that will knock Jepsen from her lofty perch? Only time will tell.</P><P>Gaga will <a href="/news/articles/1686922/lady-gaga-new-album-title.jhtml">reveal the name</a>
 of her new album in September. Last week she hinted that the first song off the LP is produced by longtime collaborator DJ White Shadow, who worked with Gaga on <I>Born This Way</I> singles "Born This Way" and "The Edge of Glory."</P>

Usher Brings 2012 BET Awards To A 'Climax'
R&B crooner let his vocals do the dancing with a simple, stripped-down performance.

<P>With two spotlights shining down on him, a sleeveless <MTVNLINK type="artist" id="1270">Usher</MTVNLINK> belted out the first notes of his summer hit, "Climax," at Sunday's <a href="http://www.bet.com/shows/bet-awards/2012.html" target="_blank">2012 BET Awards</a>.</P><P>The R&B crooner stood center stage, wearing all black, save for a pair of hot-colored shoes, and sang the ballad with the electro-beat from his seventh studio album, <i>Looking 4 Myself,</i> in front of a live band. Some wicked, black-and-white animation danced behind him on a large screen that backlit the auditorium.</P><P>This was the first time Usher has performed at the awards show since 2010, where he also sang another ballad, "There Goes My Baby," from his <i>Raymond v. The dance-friendly album was just released last month. "Climax" hit #17 on the singles chart, while second track "Scream" has peaked at #13.</P><P>For his BET Awards performance, the multiplatinum, multi-Grammy-winning R&B singer kept it fairly muted. Save for a few quick microphone movements, he let his vocals dance during the performance.
