LOS ANGELES — Britney Spears makes headlines at concerts, even when she's not performing. That's probably why Los Angeles radio station KIIS FM tapped the pop princess to guest-host their annual Wango Tango music festival along with Ryan Seacrest on Saturday night at the Staples Center.
The bill was a balance of pop and hip-hop, with acts like Ke$ha, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Ne-Yo, Selena Gomez, "Glee" 's Matthew Morrison, Lupe Fiasco, T-Pain, Jason Derülo, Far East Movement, New Boyz, Cobra Starship and newcomer Cody Simpson.
Backstage, the media room went into a frenzy when Spears arrived in a red, geometric-print dress and a beaming smile. Owning her "femme fatale" moniker, Spears worked the carpet for a few moments while all of the cameras in the room were pointing at her. It was the second red carpet appearance by Brit this week, after her Beverly Hills benefit on Wednesday night for the St. Bernard Project.

Spears' Femme Fatale collaborator Ke$ha, who was returning to the festival for the second time, said that an onstage collab between to the two would have to require one thing.
"That would have to include me finding her and attacking her," Ke$ha told MTV News, with the best intentions. "I'm planning on pouncing her."
While that never happened, at least not onstage, Ke$ha delivered on her promise of a set heavy on her glitter gun. And she assured us she knew the dos and don'ts of handling that kind of firepower.
"Do not spray yourself in the face with it," she said. "Do spray everybody else with it. That's pretty much it."
While Joe Jonas wasn't performing at the show, he took a break from recording his solo debut to catch up with almost everyone backstage.
"I didn't see Britney backstage, just said 'hello' to a couple of my friends," Jonas said. "Backstage is always [full of] people, especially having it at the Staples Center this time, I think compared to all the way out in the desert, it changes everything."
Also happy to have Wango Tango in Los Angeles were locals Far East Movement.
"Man, we grew up literally a few blocks away from here, and you can only imagine basketball games being played here," Kev Nish said. "So to come in here as performers, to be able to do our songs in this arena is a little crazy. We used to pass out CDs a few blocks [away], so we're very thankful. And the lineup is nuts, so we're extremely excited to be a part of this lineup."

Britney Spears Drops Official 'Till The World Ends' Remix
New track with Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha follows leaked version, plus Brit tweets single's cover art.

Just days after it was leaked on Friday, Britney Spears and her femme fatales, Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha, dropped their official remix of "Till the World Ends."
The new version of the song was produced by Dr. Luke and Dream Machine. Brit half-whispers " 'Till the World Ends' remix" before the beat kicks in and Nicki hits her verse hard. She spits fierce lines like, "Sniff, sniff, cries/ I done slayed your whole entire f---ing life."
Then Britney's sex-kitten vocals kick in for the song's first verse. "That's Britney, bitch! I'm Nicki Minaj and that's Ke$ha," the Queens MC declares before K sings the chorus. The beat is harder, the loops are sassier and the song is grimier than the original version, which was the second single from Femme Fatale. The newly added dubstep portion takes the one from "Hold It Against Me" to a new level by adding in bass-heavy synths.
Ke$ha, of course, wrote the track for Britney, and the ladies certainly don't seem to mind sharing the spotlight with each other. The official track isn't much different than the version that leaked over the weekend, though Spears did have something brand-new to share with her fans just as the song dropped on iTunes and streamed on her website.
Spears tweeted the artwork for the single, which features the original press photo of Spears along with separate photos of Nicki on the left and Ke$ha on the right. Spears wrote, "@NickiMinaj @Keshasuxx Too much fierceness for one cover! Thanks for lending your voices girls... #TTWEREMIX — Brit"
Spears and Minaj have been hanging out a lot in the lead-up to their summer tour. They hung out at the Factory nightclub on Friday night after Minaj's show in Los Angeles. Spears later wrote, "Early rehearsal after a late night with my girl @NickiMinaj. Can't WAIT to get out on the road with you."

'ANTM' Recap: Season 17, Episode 3
We start off tonight's episode with a visit from Kristin Cavallari. This is apparently a thing people are excited about? I don't know. Her advice basically amounts to, "Haters gonna hate." Bre asks Kristin how you maintain longevity in your career without being a serial reality show contestant, which in this context seems quite ironic.
The girls head to The Grove, which is home to Extra. Nigel meets them and tells them that their challenge today will be to answer tough questions thrown at them by Peabody Award winner Mario Lopez. The ladies are split into two teams. Team one is Lisa, Laura, Alexandria, Isis, Dominique and Angelea. Team two is Bianca, Allison, Bre, Camille, Shannon, and Kayla. Whichever team better weathers the interview will be safe from elimination, and the individual winner will get the chance to be an Extra correspondent.

Beyoncé set Twitter on fire when she hinted on the VMA black carpet that she was set to make a big announcement, placing a hand on her stomach. Speculation turned into overwhelming joy when the pop superstar announced her pregnancy at the end of her "Love on Top" performance by unbuttoning her sparkling blazer and rubbing her noticeable bump.
Bey's public announcement came as a bit of a surprise, given that the songstress usually gets media-shy when asked anything about her personal life during interviews. MTV News reached out to pop-culture expert Rob Shuter, columnist for HuffPost Celebrity, for his thoughts on how she revealed the big news. "I thought it was so brilliant that somebody as private as Beyoncé and Jay-Z would make their own rules to address the fact that she's clearly pregnant," he said.
Shuter explained that the power couple's private nature made the revelation all the more joyous. "I love that this couple who has made it a policy to not talk about their personal life would once again do that, let us in on this huge secret, without ever really uttering any words."

Kim Kardashian, a real pro at living publicly, told MTV News that she admired B's choice of venue. "I thought it was really cool of her to come out and show that at the VMAs, 'cause music is her outlet. She could have done it with any magazine or news station, but she chose her home."

Surprises come by the dozen when we're talking about Britney Spears' life and career, and she had another one up her sleeve when she took to "The Late Show With David Letterman" in May 2006 to confirm her second pregnancy with then-husband Kevin Federline. "Don't worry, Dave. It's not yours," the pop star laughingly told the late-night host after he circled around the question. Spears gave birth to her son Jayden James Federline that September and filed for divorce just two months later.

It was only appropriate that J.Lo chose a concert as her venue to announce that she and husband Marc Anthony were having a baby — he was the tour's co-headliner. "We didn't want to say anything before, because we didn't want to take away from the tour, but Marc and I are expecting," the pop star revealed to fans during the Miami stop of her El Cantante Tour. Anthony then turned to his wife, kissed her belly and told the crowd that he "did not expect her to say anything." Lopez gave birth to fraternal twins Emme and Maximilian Muñiz, in early 2008.
Ashlee Simpson, 2008
Ashlee Simpson and then-husband Pete Wentz make our list not because of their announcement but because of their steadfast policy before they made it: deny, deny, deny. Simpson even shied away from the question during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" as the pregnancy rumors were at their height. "Well, that has been going on for quite a while. That is something that I choose personally not to discuss," Simpson said, before cracking a joke about whether she looks like she can eat "10 cheese burgers or something." Almost a month later, the couple took to FriendsOrEnemies.com to confirm the news, writing, "While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child."

Some use their Facebook news feed to talk about work or current events. Some use it to talk with friends. Jessica Alba used it to announce her pregnancy to the world. "It's been a while since I've been on FB & I thought I'd drop by to let you all in on some exciting news>Honor is going to be a Big Sister!" the actress wrote in February. Just a couple weeks ago, Alba gave birth to a baby girl named Haven Garner Warren and, as expected, took to her Facebook profile to announce the news.

Hilary Duff also favors the Internet for her personal revelations. In celebration of her one-year anniversary to husband Mike Comrie, the starlet offered fans with an extra special blog post. BABY MAKES THREE!!!" We called it way back in January: Lily Collins was an actress to watch in 2011.
At that point, her career was just heating up following a turn as Sandra Bullock's daughter in "The Blind Side." An impressive series of castings in high-profile films followed: "Priest," "Abduction" opposite Taylor Lautner and an adaptation of the best-selling YA series "The Mortal Instruments." A few months later, she landed the role of Snow White in Relativity Media's Julia Roberts-starring take on the fairy tale.
Collins is making good on our predictions, which is why we've selected her as part of our New Class — a collection of young talent about to rise to the top of Hollywood, including her "Mortal Instruments" co-star Jamie Campbell Bower. With her badass-yet-relatable roles, Collins is our New Class' "Ass-Kicking Girl Next Door."
Though she's had all of 2011 to get used to the spotlight, the whole celebrity thing continues to feel odd.
"It feels very surreal," she told us at the "Abduction" red carpet. "It's weird getting out of a car and people are saying my name. It's still a weird concept to me."
Give her time. Collins told us she'd like to model her career after Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet or Meryl Streep. "I like that none of them have stuck themselves in a box," she said. "They've done all sorts of roles — comedic, dramatic, they've gone from indies to big motion pictures. I love their choices."
And she's a fan of the New Class itself, which includes not only Bower, but Emma Watson, Josh Hutcherson, Julianne Hough and Nina Dobrev.
"It's an honor to be placed in the New Class of actors," Collins said. "I'm doing what I love, and I'm having the best time."

As news spread that 27-year-old Amy Winehouse was dead, stars immediately tweeted their shocked reactions and remorse over the lost talent.
Katy Perry, who touches down in Boise, Idaho, this weekend as part of her California Dreams Tour, tweeted her condolences, writing, "RIP Amy Winehouse. May she finally find peace."
Nicki Minaj, who is also on the road as part of Britney Spears' Femme Fatale jaunt, took to Twitter and expressed disbelief at the news of Winehouse's passing. "Please tell me Amy Winehouse didn't die," wrote the Young Money MC, who's set to hit the stage in Florida on Saturday (July 23). "Is this some sick joke?"
"I am genuinely heartbroken about this," wrote Rihanna, who continued to express her shock over multiple tweets. "Dear God have mercy!!! I am SICK about this right now!" In another, she wrote "U made a MAJAH impression on this industry and throughout the world, in such a short space of time...too short!"
Usher reflected on Winehouse, who he had known: "I'm so sad to hear the horrible news of Amy Winehouse's death. I'm so happy I knew you Amy...Rest Well. Gone Too Soon...we'll miss you!!""
Frequent tweeter Kim Kardashian used her 140 characters to send prayers: "I just heard the news that Amy Winehouse passed away. What a true talent. I pray she's in a better place & at peace."
Meanwhile, Ryan Seacrest showed Winehouse's impact on the music industry, singling out both Lady Gaga and Adele as those who had been influenced. "Sad to lose Amy Winehouse - incred talent. Both @LadyGaga & @OfficialAdele say Amy paved way for them."
Dr. Drew focused on the singer's well-documented struggles with addiction. "SO sad, another lost to addiction. A reminder this is often a fatal condition. Recovery is possible, but sadly not for Amy Winehouse."
Winehouse's American record label, Universal Republic, said in a statement: "We are deeply saddened at the sudden loss of such a gifted musician, artist and performer. Our prayers go out to Amy's family, friends and fans at this difficult time."

Adele's 'Someone Like You' Video: Watch A Preview!

Despite having the year's best-selling album (on both sides of the Atlantic) and two of the biggest singles in recent history (ditto on the whole transatlantic thing), Adele hasn't been a music-video machine.
Sure, her "Rolling in the Deep" clip was nominated for seven awards at last month's VMAs, but that track — much like her current smash, the stirring "Someone Like You" — became better known for its near-ubiquity on radio. And so far, it remains the only video released from her massive 21 album.
But that's about to change. Because on Thursday, at 7:56 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, she'll unveil the second clip off the record, for "Someone Like You." And since we know you probably can't wait, we've got an exclusive sneak peek of the video now.
Shot in Paris and directed by Jake Nava (who's done work for Kanye West, Britney Spears and Shakira), "Someone Like You" is a somber, black-and-white affair, featuring Adele wandering the early morning streets and pining for her long-lost love. It's a perfect match for the song's jaw-dropping emotional range — raw and unfiltered and incredibly sad but also, in a lot of ways, beautiful and resolute.
"The location evokes style and romance," Nava said in a statement. "And shooting early in the morning allows you to focus on Adele in this lonely and emotional space."
So while you count the hours until the official premiere of "Someone Like You," have a look at this exclusive preview — it's certainly piqued our interest.

Kate Moss Designs Jewelry Collection for Fred
Always busy with a new adventure, Kate Moss has designed a new jewelry line for Fred, the Louis Vuitton/Moet Hennessy- owned French jeweler.
According to a report, Moss was inspired by her own tattoos as she conceptualized the various pieces for the collection.
Among the motifs are an anchor, heart, star, and crescent moon, making up a total of 22 fabulous styles comprised of gold and precious stones.
The new line will go on sale on October 1st and cost anywhere from $475 all the way up to $47,500!

When it comes to raising her 5-month-old son Felix, actress Elizabeth Banks says she's thankful she doesn't have to do it all on her own.

Lea Michele's Grey Day Girls-Only Lunch Date
Bringing a close to the weekend, Lea Michele stepped out for a girls-only lunch in Los Angeles, California on Sunday afternoon (September 25).
The Rachel Berry babe was dressed stylishly in a black sweater, jeans and multi-buckle strapped boots as she hopoped into her friend's ride following the midday meal.
Tweeting about the overcast afternoon in Tinseltown, Lea wrote, "Its a grey and cloudy day out in LA today...perfect for snuggling up on the couch and eating yummy food and watching movies!"
Meanwhile, Miss Michele stepped out on Friday to be honored for her work with PETA at the Variety Power of Women Luncheon - during which time she voiced her upsettedness over "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland's comments about her "unnatural" red carpet poses.
Lea said, "I gotta be honest. It hurt my feelings a little bit. I really think the message of today is that women should motivate and empower women, and so that?s why I'm honored to be a part of today."
Meanwhile, Sarah tweeted a followup to her red carpet remarks after the story gained momentum, as she wrote, "I did not intend for my comments to be taken in a malicious way. But I did hate [her] dress. Called her ass great. Did you all hear that one?"

'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' Trailer: The Five Key Scenes
The trailer gives out a lot of plot details, but fans of the book will be thrilled to see Mikhail and Lisbeth in action.

The teaser trailer for "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" didn't divulge much about the murder mystery at the center of the flick, trading story details for darkly cool imagery and a badass Led Zeppelin cover courtesy of Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Karen O.
The latest "Dragon Tattoo" trailer takes a wildly different approach, running four minutes and diving deeply into the lives of Mikhail Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) and Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara), the two Swedes at the center of this tale about a 40-year-old cold case of a missing girl and a rich, dysfunctional family. It's hard to argue the new footage is too spoiler heavy, considering the ubiquity of the international best-selling Stieg Larsson novel on which the film is based. Let's just say that there is a ton to unpack in the new trailer. Here are our picks for the five key scenes:
The Family Dinner
While Larsson's book is set in contemporary times, its story is inextricably tied to the past, to events surrounding the disappearance and suspected murder of Harriet Vanger, a teenange girl and scion of a wealthy family with dark secrets. Blomkvist and Salander are charged with cracking the decades-old case and largely rely on vintage photographs to assist their investigation. This scene, a glimpse of the Vanger family in the 1960s, shows that director David Fincher is using these weathered photos as the visual inspiration for flashbacks. The almost sepia-toned aesthetic differentiates the gritty present from the vintage-y past, and makes the connection that past events, captured in photos, will be the mechanism allowing Blomkvist and Salander to undercover the truth.
The Flowers
For those unfamiliar with the novel, this scene — in which Blomkvist and Henrik Vanger (Christopher Plummer), who hires the journalist to investigate his niece's disappearance — unveils the first creepy clue of the story. Henrik has been receiving pressed flowers, in frames, for years. He's certain they're taunts from Harriet's killer, as the young girl used to present such gifts to her uncle. It turns out that Blomkvist himself has a connection to the Vanger clan, as he spent time as a young child on the family's remote estate. Taken together, these representations of the past — both in the form of memories and in physical frames — spur the reluctant journalist to take on the assignment. Well, that and the fact that he's recently suffered a profound professional humiliation and Henrik is offering him a lucrative payout.
The Genius
To assist him in the investigation, Blomkvist hires Salander, a young woman with a history of being institutionalized and underestimated. The truth is, she's a brilliant hacker with a photographic memory, as this scene makes clear. Blomkvist shows her a key piece of evidence — a set of names and phone numbers from Harriet's diary — but she needn't take another look. Salander has already memorized the information. Blomkvist realizes he's picked the perfect partner. And he also doesn't complain that she's strikingly beautiful; the journalist is something of a ladies' man, and this duo ends up having success both on the case and in the bedroom.
The Photo
As we said above, photos are the key clues in this case. Here we see evidence of Blomkvist and Salander's big break, tthe photo that unlocks everything. In the book, it's an enormously satisfying moment. After hitting roadblock after roadblock, the case finally picks up momentum, and the rest of the story proceeds at a breakneck pace. So head's up: Once this scene plays out in the film, hold onto your seat — it's going to get crazy and violent and freaky from here on out.
The Rape
That's not to say there's not plenty of crazy and freaky violence before that photo pops up. This quick shot shows Salander exacting some well-deserved revenge on Nils Bjurman, the sadistic lawyer who oversees her casework. Earlier in the trailer, we see Bjurman explaining to Salander that his assistance comes hand-in-hand with his unwanted sexual advances. Eventually Salander pays him back for his perversions: Bjurman, meet ball gag. It's gruesome stuff. And it shows how Salander may look meek and helpless, but when she's backed into a corner she can come up with some of the most creative and brutal acts of vengeance imaginable.

Taylor Armstrong Blames 'Housewives' for Russell Armstrong?s Suicide
Despite reports to the contrary, Taylor Armstrong says she holds The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills partially responsible for husband Russell Armstrong's suicide.
In an interview with Dr. Phil on Thursday, the reality star said that the constant presence of Bravo's cameras magnified the existing problems in her marriage.
"I believe that if it weren't for the cameras, there's a chance that I wouldn't be sitting here with you today," said Russell's 40-year-old widow.
Taylor spoke out for the first time about her abusive marriage on Wednesday's Entertainment Tonight, revealing the domestic violence that she suffered around 20 times at his hands. Taylor said on Thursday that she had feared for both his life and her own.
"One of my friends who's a reporter said, 'I didn't want to be standing outside your house having to report a murder-suicide,'" a crying Taylor confessed.
Despite her fear, Taylor made an effort to protect Russell from the repercussions of his own actions. She says she lied about the cause of her black eye (the shocking photos of which have been made public) when she had to go in for corneal surgery -- saying that her 5-year-old daughter Kennedy did it.
"I told (the doctor) that Kennedy had kicked me because Russell told me to tell him that. Russell went with me to the appointment and sat in the chair with me the whole time," she said to ET. "I didn't want him to go to jail, so I guess that was all right with me."
Taylor has said that she was living "constantly on eggshells" with Russell -- and we can only imagine how being watched by a reality TV audience intensified that fear. What's most shocking, perhaps, is that Taylor Armstrong was being abused in front of millions of eyes, yet no one knew. Russell Armstrong's suicide has everyone asking if reality TV has gotten too real. Maybe the better question is: What else have our favorite reality shows been hiding in plain sight?
