Flo Rida reached a new "low, low, low" on Thursday morning when he was arrested in Miami for driving under the influence. The 31-year-old rapper, a native of Florida, was driving through South Beach in his $1.7 million Bugatti sports scar when police stopped him for swerving, according to People.
The police report states that the officer smelled alcohol on his breath and asked him to walk in a straight line but the musician -- whose real name is Tramar Dillard and is known for danceable rap hits like "Low," "Club Can't Handle Me" and "Right Round" -- gave up after the second attempt.
"I can't do this. I don't think I can walk a straight line," Flo Rida reportedly told the officer. "I had a few drinks. Let's do another test. I live on the other side of the bridge. I can make it home."
Can't walk in a straight line but can drive over a bridge? That's drunk logic for you! The officer indulged him in another test, and after the rapper failed, he was arrested.
According to a spokesperson from the Miami Beach Police Department, Flo Rida had a blood alcohol level of .185, which is well over the legal limit of .08. Furthermore, Flo Rida's driver's license had been suspended in May (whoops!) for failure to pay a traffic fine. An attorney for the rapper, who was released from jail Thursday afternoon on $2,000 bail, has declined to comment on his client's arrest.
Given his success (and the $1.7 million car he was driving), we're sure Flo can splurge on a cab every once a while -- a fact that we hope he keeps in mind next time he's been drinking.
