Gearing up for one of the biggest competitions of the year, Serena and Venus Williams were spotted at the U.S. Open Tennis Championships in New York City over Labor Day Weekend (September 1).
The talented tennis duo sported colorful Nike ensembles as they attempted to crush their competition and advance to the next round.
The 30-year-old brought her A-game and will advance to the next round. Serena made an impressive 6-4, 6-0 third-round win on Saturday against Russia's Ekaterina Makarova, whom she lost to at the Australian Open.
"I was motivated," Williams told press. "Knowing that I lost to her in Australia, it could definitely happen again. And I did not want that to happen again."
The match was previously tied 4-4 after the first eight games, but that's when Serena patiently made her way to the top.
"I was trying to get a service break," she explained, "I started playing a little better, a little more consistent."
