In a business obsessed with youth and beauty, you have to be careful in how you describe a celeb's appearance to their face. Recently, Australia's Sun-Herald Fashion Editor learned that lesson after repeatedly referring to Christina Hendricks as being "full-figured."
During a promotional visit Down Under to host the Specsavers 2012 Spectacle Wearer of the Year awards, the "Mad Men" star walked the red carpet and answered questions from the media.
She was interviewed by Kate Waterhouse, who asked the seemingly innocent question, "You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman. What has been the most inspiring story that you can remember, where you've inspired someone?"
The 37-year-old actress laughed, rolled her eyes, and then sought help from her publicist off-camera. The interviewer mistakenly rephrases the question, still using that "F" word and Christina exclaimed that she "said it again!"
Later, the busty redhead was heard to say, "I think calling me full-figured is just rude."
