Making her way to the nation's capital for performance duties, Taylor Swift touched down in Washington, DC on Tuesday afternoon (August 2).
Wearing a cat shirt and short skirt, the "Mine" singer headed to the Verizon Center venue as she waved to a gathered crowd of fans from her car window before heading inside to prep for the night's show.
Meanwhile, Miss Swift is all set to be doted with the Ultimate Choice Award this coming weekend during the 2011 Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
Upon hearing the news, Taylor took to Twitter as she excitedly wrote, "Seriously?! My day = made. RT @brianmansfield Taylor Swift will receive the 2011 "Ultimate Choice" honor during Sunday's Teen Choice Awards."
Along with the Ultimate Choice honor, the country singing cutie is in the running for six other trophies including Red Carpet Hot Icon - Female, Choice Music: Female Artist, Choice Music: Female Country Artist, Choice Music: Love Song, Choice Music: Break-up Song and Choice Music: Country Song.
