Julia Roberts Ad Banned In UK Over Airbrushing!
Holy moly a Julia Roberts ad has been banned in the UK because of excessive airbrushing. Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority has yanked a L?Or�al advertisement for Lanc�me featuring the beautiful Julia Roberts, who is also the face of Lanc�me. The reason behind the ad campaigns being banned, airbrushing or rather too much airbrushing. Simply put the ASA decided that pics breached the advertising standards code for exaggeration and being misleading and banned them from future publication. Parliament member Jo Swinson alerted the ASA to the two-page ad claiming that the manipulated photographs could actually impact one?s body image. According to the Guardian Swinson has waged a campaign against the unrealistic and too perfect images of woman in advertisements. L?Oreal admitted that some post-production techniques, which is just another way of saying photoshopped, had been done on Roberts but maintained the changes were not directly relevant. I don?t exactly know what L?Oreal means by ?not directly relevant? but I will say that Julia is freaking beautiful with or without photoshop.
