Glee Recap: ?Mash Off?

In last night’s episode of Glee, it was all about conflict. Was anything resolved? Did the show end with everything all right in this world? We start out the episode with Puck and the New Directions boys channeling their inner Van Halen self, rocking out to ‘Hot for Teacher’ and reminding all of us why this show is so so good. On the other hand, I hate that they are even touching upon this storyline, with Puck having a crush on Shelby and explaining to her that he is 18 and they go together ‘like Woody Allen and that Chinese girl’ or ‘Indiana Jones and Ally McBeal’. He wants to do right by Beth and be there for her. With Shelby. Shelby talks to Mr. Schue in the teacher’s lounge and while the two don’t have any issues with each other since some have defected to her choir, they know that there’s a problem between the kids. Schue tells Shelby that with sectionals coming up, this is the time of year that he gets the kids ready by doing a mash-up and thus the birth of the Mash Off between the two choirs.
